At WRAP Nursery, we strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive. One of the challenges we often encounter is biting—a common behaviour in young children that can cause concern for both parents and carers. Understanding why children bite and how to address this behaviour effectively can help alleviate worries and promote a positive atmosphere at home and in all settings.

As we approach the summer, our WRAP Nursery team is working hard to ensure that our oldest nursery children are ready for their next exciting adventure—starting school! Come September, they will be embarking on a new journey, joining various schools across the city. To make this transition as smooth as possible, we focus on equipping them with essential skills that will set them up for life.

Nursery parent, Sarah, shares a personal experience with potty training her young daughter. Sarah describes the preparation for this milestone, including recalling past tips, seeking advice from the nursery staff, and setting up a conducive environment at home with easy-to-remove clothing and a handy potty. The nursery staff, provided ongoing support and encouragement, integrating potty trips into the daily routine and using reusable training pants to aid the process.

Meet our wonderful new chef, Katerina! Katerina has joined WRAP to make delicious, fresh food each day for our nursery, as well as catering for our business centre lunches and events. Welcome Katerina - we’re so glad to have you on the team!

In our next Meet the Members post, we’re introducing Associate Members, The Parents Class - a new antenatal education company working with real midwives to deliver classes for expecting parents!

At WRAP I am really proud of our supportive and encouraging environment where apprentices learn from each other, from our fully qualified educators and senior staff. Our nursery children are curious, eager to learn, engaged and love interacting with our apprentices - no day is ever the same, it is a very rewarding role!
