Booth Museum of Natural History
The Booth Museum of Natural History in Hove is home to the weird and wonderful. Originally opened in 1874 by naturalist and collector Edward Booth, The Booth Museum is home to the largest collection of taxidermied in the country. A fun, quirky, free (& educational!) day out!
Meet animals at Raystede Sanctuary
Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is a charity with the aim to give animals a better life. As well as caring for animals the centre is also open to visitors. There is free parking, a shop, café and activities such as Family Learning Days. Although entrance is free, all visitors are required to pre-book a ticket online or via the phone.
Visit Your Local Library
For rainy days visit your local library! If you are based in Brighton Jubilee Library in the Lanes has a wonderful children’s section.
Preston Park Rock Garden

Nearly all galleries will have exhibitions for free! Have a look online and check out what free exhibitions are near you! One gallery we would recommend is the funky Towner Gallery in Eastbourne, you can even have a walk along the beach after sucking up the art and culture!
